Welcome to House of Rylant! I’m so excited to finally begin my blogging journey, and that you will be a part of that journey! While HOR is brand new, the inspiration behind it goes back further than I’d like to admit.
I spent nearly 23 years in the residential construction world, working for a distributor of pneumatic tools and fasteners. That career launched my interest in all things related to construction and renovation. As my husband and I worked on our home, I grew to love the whole process of ” home improvement”, and the hectic messiness that I like to refer to as “home rejuvenation”. I would begin planning the next project before we were finished with the current one!
My dad passed away in 2015. We all have our own ways of dealing with grief. My way was to immerse myself in home/yard projects, which essentially lead to our first major home renovation, and the birth of a lifestyle for almost the last decade. That lifestyle led us to other homes that needed love, which brings us to today….
